This goodie’s gone for good, but we’ve got tons of other fun stuff on hand!
We wish we could take away your pain. Or at least take away the people who compare it to the time their hamster died.
Let me first say, for the record, that Emily loves animals. Her cat is a disproportionately important part of her life. But when your spouse or child or friend or parent has died, it is never, ever helpful to hear this kind of comparison. If someone close to you has experienced this, we promise they will appreciate this card.

I found this card SO relatable. Almost immediately after my personal loss, a friend shared regarding the loss of their pet hamster (which yes i am sure is sad, but... not quite the same ....). I was so upset after that and insulted. I know they meant well, but still. Seeing this card was validating of my anger and frustration at the time, and like others said, inappropriately funny in all the right ways that helps to ease the pain in the slightest. I'm not sure why so many people think its appropriate to compare loss of hamsters to loss of close family members but... hey that's why this card exists. Also, please stop with that comparison, it would be awful cool of you if you did.
Empathy & humor is a perfect combination! Well meaning people sometimes compare profound loss of a loved one to their own experience of loss and sometimes it is inappropriate yet also funny!
"No, knowing you are thinking of me doesn't help - I'd rather be anonymous and out of all this..."
I love these cards. They add humor to a bad situation or just say what’s really on your mind.
